If you are interested in computational neuroscience, machine learning, and working at the intersection of theory and experiments, please contact me with your CV and research interests. Check our publications to understand the type of research we do.
Research Interests
We combine machine learning with multiregional theories of decision-making and working memory. Our research focuses on understanding how computations necessary to solve complex tasks can be distributed across segregated brain regions through data-driven approaches and biophysical modeling.
People
I have the privilege (and responsibility!) to supervise a group of brilliant trainees. Here is the team working in my group, exploring the neural mechanisms of cognition.
Publications
All papers are open - either published open access or directly linked to pdf. All code and all data necessary to replicate the papers' figures are also linked. Don't hesitate contacting me at palerma @ gmail if something is missing.
Teaching
While my INSERM position does not formally require teaching duties, I am passionate about education and helping the next generation of scientists. I voluntarily engage in teaching activities in several forms, from course coordination to invited lectures and summer schools, because I believe in the importance of sharing knowledge and fostering scientific curiosity.
